  THIS IS FOR A GUITAR TUNED DOWN A WHOLE STEP-play the chords as shown, but as you know the c is really a b flat, dig?
it begins-  C  Em  C (this second C sounds best if you only play strings 6 "the skinniest" thru 3)  F  G.  the Em and shortened C get half the time the first C , F and G do.

it's "da da  da-da  da da  da da".  yes, music theory is my strong point. when singing the second C can be omitted, just hang on the Em.

oh darkness makes them cringe,  perhaps caught

respectable in their covert nocturne      ...guessing at these words

thus go the verses, and the bridge...
Am                    Gm
not to trust an instinct, blame them

and back to C Em F G for "they will let you down every time, the key losers" the phrasing changes for "in the clutch, twice as much" but the verse chords are the same.  For a good time, play this one Carter Family style!  I hope this all made sense.  if not, IGNORE.
