On behalf of Jeff, Craigo, Duane & myself (The Terrifying Experience), I'd like to say hey to all of you who have checked into the Mitch ambush section of the Web Site. We've been working on new songs for 2 new 7 inch records. One to be released on AAJ Records: 2508 Prest Court, Tallahassee, FL 32301. We'll record it at Cro-Mag. The second will be on Arena Rock, the same label that put out "Big City/Big Lights". We've also got enough songs for a full length LP. We're hopeful to have a label pick it up and put it out before the end of the year. As far as shows, we've got 2 confimed dates. May 13th at the new Staches in Columbus. May 31rst at Buzz Coffeehouse in Cincinatti. There are some tenative dates too. May 15th and June 6th, both shows at the Aardvark Ballroom here in Dayton. Other dates in the works will be in June at Lounge Ax in Chicago and Brownies in New York City. We'd like to book something in Philly and DC. Irf anyone has any ideas for cool places for shows email Rich or write me at PO Box 13851 Dayton OH 45413-0851. Lastly there's somethings that need to be cleared up and the record has to be set straight. There's been a lot of rumors flying around about the whole GBV thing and I would like to set it straight once and for all the story of things. Yes its true, Robert is the only original member left. I too was an original member and from all the years of association with GBV, nothing but good things have come from it. I feel very lucky to have spent all these years as a part of this. I got to see places I never would have, I got to meet some of the finest people and make a lot of great friends. I was never in it for the money. I was and I still love to play music. I will never get tired of traveling, playing shows, seeing you all again and putting out rock records. GBV in many ways gave me this chance. No money could ever give me what GBV gave me. I also will always be thankful to all of you for sticking with us and for staying with us too. GBV will still release records. Toby will be making records. Now its my turn to make records. The Terrifying Experience will be a band that tours a lot. I am excited to have the chance to tour much more than GBV and although I'll miss playing GBV songs, I feel the Terrifying Experience will be as fun and as rockin' as any show to come. Make no mistake, I am not trying or will I ever try to make this a contest between two bands. I realize there might be comparisons, this is not a bad thing. I will never object to being compared to a great band. I'd be interested in seeing how many bands we get compared to. Finally, Robert & myself *are & will always be* friends. It was his idea for me to form the Terrifying Experience and it was his idea for the name "Mitch Mitchell's Terrifying Experience". I dropped my name from the title. I just liked "The Terifying Experience". Robert, Pete and several others were at the first Terrifying Experince show with the Breeders. They stood right at the very front and after the show expressed how much they liked it. It made me feel proud that he felt as I did and I'm glad he liked it. I hope this has cleared up many of the rumors and I also hope that I'll be able to stay in touch with all of you and that I'll be able to see you again too. I'm trying to find a lap top computer so that I can log on and email all of you. But, until I cab find one, please send me any questions and/or comments. Always know that you can write me or talk to me and I'll always be there. Thanks so much, Mitch
